It’s official! 13 Reasons Why, the Netflix adaptation of the novel by Jay Asher, has been picked up for a second season. We all have yet to discover what exactly will happen in this second season, and which characters will return, since the first season covered the entirety of the plot in Asher’s source material. The only bit of information we have so far is that the new season will follow the characters on their “complicated journeys toward healing and recovery” after the death of Hannah Baker, which doesn’t give much away. Variety has revealed that Brian Yorkey, who adapted the book into a screenplay for the first season as well as served as an executive producer, will be the show-runner of season two.
The show’s official Twitter account shared a short teaser video to announce that they had been renewed for a second season:
