‘The Lucky One’ Featurette Starring Zac Efron – Based On the Novel by Nicholas Sparks

November 29, 2011

In ‘The Lucky One,’ Zac Efron plays a soldier who has been deployed to Iraq three times, and is convinced that a photo of a mystery woman got him through the dangerous experience. The author of the novel, Nicholas Sparks, says, “The character, Logan, was a different character than I’ve ever created before. He’s your typical strong, silent type, yet he’s very loyal. He is being driven by compulsion, you might say, to find this person.” Sparks sure has been churning out novels! Wyck Godfrey, a movie producer, mentioned that they are making an adaptation of his novel ‘Safe Haven,’ as well. The first footage from ‘The Lucky One‘ was released in the form of a featurette at Yahoo, and the film will hit theaters on April 20th, 2012. It also stars Taylor Schilling, Jay R. Ferguson, and Blythe Danner. What do you think of ‘The Lucky One,’ and will you be heading to theaters? What do you think of Nicholas Sparks book-to-movie adaptations?

Well, I loved The Notebook movie adaption but wasn’t so crazy about The Last Song. I think it all depends on who’s acting in it– Zac Efron could probably pull it off, though I’ve never heard of those other actors. I really want to see the trailer!
