MTV took a trip to the set of the upcoming adaptation of ‘The Host,’ by Stephenie Meyer. The novel tells the story of Melanie, a girl who refuses to relinquish control of her mind after a race of ‘souls’ comes to Earth to take over the minds of the human race. The film was directed by Andrew Niccol (In Time), MTV had a chance to chat with Saoirse Ronan (Wanda / Melanie), Max Irons (Jared), and Stephenie Meyer, the author.

I’m not sure how I feel about this yet. The Host is my favorite book and I’m afraid it won’t live up to the book at all. && I want to see Ian O’Shea!

I can not wait! I am so excited to see the movie. Though I am a little worried that the movie won’t live up to the book’s potential. Which is sad, because it really was an amazing book.
