The Great Gatsby

Full-Length Trailer for ‘The Great Gatsby’ – Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, & Tobey Maguire

December 19, 2012

A new, full-length trailer for Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby, has been released! It opens with our first look at Callan McAuliffe as young Gatsby, and then unfolds with plenty of great new looks at the upcoming film, with Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio) talking to Nick Carraway (Toby Maguire), about his mysterious past as voice-over. MessYourHairUp sums it up quite nicely with her comment, “This looks like everything it should be. Excessive, sparkling, and not entirely truthful. Deceptive. Love it, can’t wait, one of my favourite books ever.” Although some people say it seems like a strange combo, Baz Luhrmann and Gatsby, I think it’s perfect. His style is a great fit for the over-the-top nature of the novel. The movie will be hitting theaters May 10, 2013! What do you think of this trailer? Sound off in the comments!
