Orlando Bloom wraps final scene ever as Legolas, hilarious video released from the set

June 29, 2013

A day after Ian McKellen filmed his last scene as Gandalf, Orlando Bloom wrapped his role of Legolas. Both parts have spanned eleven years across two three-film franchises. So, what does Peter Jackson do? Make a hilarious video, of course. They’re taking the hobbits to Isengard!

“A day after saying goodbye to Gandalf and Tauriel, it was time to farewell Legolas. What a great day it was, with Orlando battling a serious Orc for all 12 hours of shooting – part of the Battle of the 5 Armies for the third Hobbit movie.

When we finally got the day done, we said goodbye to Orlando, had a couple of beers … and couldn’t resist doing this!”

Haha oh wow! I already miss them.

Anyone else notice they gave Orlando Bloom color contacts for this movie, but not the original trilogy? His eyes are brown, but they gave him blue eyes in the new film. Couldn’t figure out why he looked so different in this photo, then it clicked.

How come he had brown eyes in the LOTR films and now he’s got those ridiculously fake blues eyes?

Orli really has brown eyes, but as Legolas in Hobbit he uses blue lenses or something..
