‘How I Live Now’ gets fall release thanks to Magnolia Pictures

July 25, 2013

In a press release to Deadline today, it was announced that Magnolia Pictures have acquired the US distribution rights for the movie adaptation, ‘How I Live Now’.

The film, helmed by Oscar winning director Kevin Macdonald, stars Saoirse Ronan (The Host) as the lead, and follows the story of Ronan’s character who is an American teenager sent to stay with relatives in the UK. Although her character , Daisy, hates the bleakness of the English countryside at first, she begins to truly appreciate it when she falls for Edmund (played by George MacKay). However, Europe is on the brink of a terrible chaotic conflict, and once war breaks out Daisy must fight to hide and survive.

The novel is fantastic for those of you who haven’t heard of this one, and Saoirse always gives fantastic performances so I’m sure the movie will be brilliant too.

Are you excited to see it now that it has a US distributor? Let us know in the comments!
