After the Comic-Con announcement that we were getting a Man of Steel sequel, and the bombshell that was dropped in which we found out that it would involve Batman…it seems that it’s going to be more of a 50/50 Batman and Superman movie, rather than centralizing on Superman. Move over, Kal-El!

“We’re actually not sure whether the title is Superman vs. Batman or Batman vs. Superman but yes, it’s–that rematch, that combination, the two guys onscreen and that’s happening,” said the film’s writer David S. Goyer at Superman’s 75th Anniversary.

Thanks to Collider we know where the line read during the announcement at Comic-Con comes from.

“I want you to remember my hand at your throat. I want you to remember the one man who beat you.”

This quote originates from The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller, when Batman defeats Superman. Such a huge clue! Are you looking forward to seeing Batman face off against Superman? Thanks to Hypable for the tip!

Who should play this new Batman?
