Sony acquires rights to Michael Grant’s GONE series to adapt for TV

July 30, 2013

This might actually be happening now, Gone fans! Michael Grant has announced on his Twitter, @TheFayz, that Sony Pictures Television has acquired the rights to his bestselling series. The story takes place in a town where mysteriously, every human 15 and older vanishes. The series has been in limbo, adaptation-wise, for quite a while. We’ve followed it since 2010! In 2009, Grant said that a film was “in the works” but it eventually evaporated into movie-limbo. Grant has said he thinks his books would work in a TV series medium more smoothly, so this could be a much better fit. Check out his tweets from today, below!
