Once Upon a Time

Tinkerbell officially cast to fly into Neverland on “Once Upon a Time” season three

July 25, 2013

E! News has confirmed that Rose McIver, best known for playing Susie Salmon’s (Saoirse Ronan) sister in “The Lovely Bones,” will take on Tinkerbell in season three of ABC’s “Once Upon a Time.”  Last week at  Comic-Con, creators Adam Horowitz and Eddie Kitsis let the audience know that Tinkerbell was coming, but they didn’t disclose the name or what side of Tink’s personality would be played up.  Fans of the show know that the Peter Pan that we know doesn’t appear to be the same Peter that is ruling “Once’s” Neverland. It will be interesting to see what direction Tinkerbell takes and what is her backstory.

With the season two finale leaving us with Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin), Charming (Josh Dallas), Emma (Jennifer Goodwin), Gold (Robert Carlyle), and Regina (Lana Parilla) on Captain Hook’s (Colin O’Donoghue) ship bound for Neverland, we knew it was just a matter of time before they announced news characters for this upcoming season.

Future casting announcements are anticipated for Peter Pan as well as Ariel, who was teased as joining the fairy tale characters in Storybrooke when she stole Grumpy’s dinglehopper in a teaser video, but could she be a resident of Neverland’s Mermaid Lagoon?  We’ll just have to wait and see!
