Will Bryan Cranston be playing Lex Luthor in the DC Universe films?

August 26, 2013

Rumor has it that the Breaking Bad star has reportedly signed on to play Superman’s arch enemy – Lex Luthor – in the DC Universe films. We haven’t heard any official news yet, but Rolling Stone thought it worthy enough to announce earlier today.

Eventhough this is just a rumor, and should be taken lightly, Cosmic Book News says that not only will Bryan Cranston be playing Lex Luthor in the Man of Steel sequel, but has signed a deal where he could potentially be appearing in at least SIX more films.

Cranston may be waiting until the series finale of Breaking Bad on Septmember 29th to make the official announcement, but don’t you think the bald headed TV drug chemist seems to be the perfect choice for the illustrated genius billionaire? Sorry Ben Affleck, but this casting news is much more fulfilling and ideal in my opinion.

I think Affleck was a great replacement of Bale. But no matter. I think that Bryan Cranston would be perfect, and I can’t wait until the rumour turns into fact. (Unless he declines, or the rumour was false, way to get my hopes up internet)
