The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Catching Fire has hit $307.7 million worldwide in box office receipts, which is a huge increase from the first film’s $211 million opening weekend!

It has nabbed the record of largest November opening of all time with $161.1 million, which was previously set by The Twilight Saga: New Moon ($142.8), and is now the fourth biggest opening of all time behind The Avengers ($207.4 million), Iron Man 3 ($174.1 million) and the final Harry Potter film ($169.2 million). Catching Fire enjoys the distinction of toppling The Dark Knight Rises ($160.9 million).
